Practice Area 01

Canadian
Competition Law

Advising domestic and international businesses on Canada's Competition Act — the most significantly transformed competition statute in nearly 40 years.

Canada's Competition Act has undergone three successive waves of transformative reform between 2022 and 2024 — the most sweeping overhaul since the Act replaced the Combines Investigation Act in 1986.

We advise clients on all aspects of Canadian competition law, including merger reviews, competitor collaborations, criminal cartel matters, and the evolving private enforcement regime. We help domestic and international businesses understand their exposure and compliance obligations under the amended Act, and represent clients before the Competition Bureau and the Competition Tribunal.

Our experience covers the full spectrum of competition matters across retail, healthcare, financial services, real estate, agriculture, and technology sectors.
